Our R218 grade titanium dioxide can be used as a suitable replacement for Lomon® R-996 – pigment is a zirconia and alumina treated rutile titanium dioxide pigment from the sulfate process. Recommended applications include Industrial Coatings, Power Coatings and External & Internal Architectural Coatings. Careful control of the TiO2 particle size during the manufacturing process of LOMON® R-996 pigment results in good brightness, high opacity and easy dispersibility.

To use titanium dioxide in cold process soap, we recommend dispersing it in a lightweight liquid oil at a rate of 1 tsp. colorant to 1 Tbsp. oil. Because titanium dioxide is a fairly large pigment, use a mini mixer to help work out any clumps
